Full Itinerary

Arrival – Hanoi (None)

Upon arrival Noi Bai airport, you are met and transferred to our hotel (check in time: 14:00). Hanoi is Vietnam’s capital city and home to seven million people. Traditional and refined with French colonial architecture, tree - lined boulevards, scenic lakes and a bustling Old Quarter, Hanoi has a sophisticated charm. Observe locals practicing Tai Chi by the lake, with barbers and food vendors plying their sidewalk trade.

Hanoi – Full day city tour (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, you are followed by a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university.

After lunch, you’ll enjoy the always impressive Ethnology Museum dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. You'll then continue to the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem. In front of this lake is the famous Water Puppet Theatre where you'll see a fantastic performance.

Hanoi – Lao Cai - Sapa – Cat Cat (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, our tour guide and drive will transfer to Sapa by the new express way. It’s take us 5 hours to reach there with one stop on the way. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, Sapa was once a hill resort of French administrators when the summer heat became unbearable. Getting to meet the ethnic minority people is a highlight of visiting Sapa, although their living conditions are basic. After settling into your hotel you will commence your short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley.

You will then start your walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area. The guide can provide you interesting information about rice. If you visit the valley sometime in between May and October, you will be able to observe and experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in the daily life. The walk takes you from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority including a visit to the local Catholic Church. After visiting Ta Van the car will return you to Sapa.

Sapa – Lao Chai – Tavan (B/L)

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver for a leisure trip. The drive uphill offers most spectacular scenery of Fansipan Mount. Just a kilometer out of the town, rose flower farms and later chayote grows on bamboo frames covered a vast area. We’ll stop at the magnificent Silver Waterfall before continue the road trip for some kilometers further to Heaven Gate and Tram Ton Pass. At 2047m above sea level, the Heaven Gate & Tram Ton Pass is the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. From here enjoy walking around for half an hour for beautiful scenery of both two side of Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The wind blows stronger to force the clouds moving constantly. It is the best point here to enjoy breathtaking scenery of the two side of Fansipan Mountain Range. Amazingly that the weather is very different by the side: In many days It is foggy and cloudy on Sa Pa side and sunny brightly the other side.

Leaving the Heaven Gate for the way back downhill 7 km, then stop to pay visiting to some lush farm in O Quy Ho where different kind of vegetable, flower, fruit trees and even medicinal plants are grown for years which makes this part of Sapa ever green.

Sapa – Ethnic Minority market – Hanoi (B/L)

We will spend this day to visit one of ethnic market before transfer to the railway station to take night train to Hanoi. Ethnic market will be held as below:

  • • Coc Ly Tuesday Market:

It takes about 2 hours by car from Sapa to Coc Ly Market. It is the colorful market in a mountainous area where the Flower H’mong mainly gathers to exchange their homemade products. After visiting the market we go on a boat on the Chay River with beautiful mountains on both sides. On the way we will have a short trek to Trung Do village (Tay). This is a unique opportunity for you to the see the traditional lifestyle of tribal minorities and their costumes and handicrafts. And then get back to Lao Cai to return to Hanoi.

  • • Lung KhauNhin Thursday market:

Lung KhauNhin is held on Thirsday. You will enjoy beautiful scenery along the road until you arrive in Muong Khuong. From there, you turn in a dirt road, which goes up in mountains. Pine trees forests and villages surround the tinny market. Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After exploring the market, your car will take you heading to Cao Son - the most stunning part of Lao Cai province. You will then be able to visit to the most secluded peaceful village - Tin Thang and have an oppoturnity to see people still distill the wine from corn, making bacon in the most basic way and offering special corn cake to anyone who drop by their house. After that, get back to Lao Cai and then get back to Lao Cai to return to Hanoi.

  • • Can Cau Saturday market:

After having breakfast in Sapa we go to the Can Cau Saturday Market by a van. It takes us 2 hours to get there. This is a colourful market situated in a small village in the mountain. You will see several different minority groups here but mainly the Flower H’mong people. The local people come here to buy and sell clothes, vegetables, meat and cattle. In the afternoon we will have a short trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong). Transfer back to Lao Cai And to return to Hanoi.

  • • Bac Ha Sunday market:

This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people).In the village we can have a look in their house and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. Transfer back to Lao Cai to return to Hanoi.

Hanoi – Halong overnight on cruise (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast you start with a transfer out to the internationally famous and stunningly beautiful Halong Bay, made world famous by James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies. Arriving just before lunch, you’ll embark on a traditional Vietnamese junk. Take lunch on board and enjoy the afternoon and overnight cruise as it provides you with fantastic views of the fabulous scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands which amazingly rise from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, some of which you’ll visit.

Halong – Hanoi – fly to Hue (B/Brunch)

The tour continues with a morning spent cruising on to the Man’s Head, Tortoise islands and then Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. After an brunch check out and continue to travel though Bai Tu Long to Bai Chay for disembark, meet the driver and guide to transfer you back to Hanoi for flight to Hue – Vietnam’s last feudal capital. This small and quiet city is widely known for its magnificent architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in many small villages and surrounding hills.

Hue tour (B/L)

In the morning you will be met at hotel to take a short drive to explore the massive Hue citadel built in 1832 followed by Western architecture combining with Eastern citadel containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City. This Royal Residence was destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive but with renovating by a great work of local artist will hold you back to know more about Nguyen dynasty.

Trip continue to Minh Mang Mausoleum located on Cam Khe mountain by the tip top of Perfume River, the construction built within 3 years 1840 – 1843 by at 10.000 workers & artists. Minh Mang emperor was the 2nd King under Nguyen Dynasty who was tightening country relationships & change name to Dai Viet for more power and influence in the region and international. Continue the trip you will board for Dragon boat to cruise downstream river to visit charming of Thien Mu pagoda built in 1601 lying on the top of Ha Khe hill by side of the river, hidden behind 7 layers of Phuoc Duyen tower.

Hue – Danang – Hoian (B/L)

Upon leaving Hue you drive south to Hoian, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by traders from various cultures. The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes of Lang co Beach. You stop en route to visit Non Nuoc Beach, Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe and the Cham Museum in Danang City before reach Hoian old town.

Hoian tour (B/L)

A comprehensive walking tour through the delightful Hoi An Ancient Town, a beautifully preserved Unesco World Heritage Site which has remained virtually unchanged through the centuries. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Hoi An Town. Exploring Hoi An on foot is one of the best ways to absorb the beauty of this city. While walking around Hoi An, exploring the small yet beautiful town, which tourists find to be a place of quiet and peace. The unique atmosphere combines elements of Vietnam, China and Japan. The most remarkable views are from the ancient houses, reminding visitors of a long gone past and providing a momentary glimpse of a more subdued and simple time.The tour includes visits to many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and of course the must-see Japanese Covered Bridge. Mostly the houses here were designed with the Chinese, Japanese architecture. Because in accordance with the history, the Chinese, Japanese used to come here for settling down and doing business. Besides, you can recognize the Eastern and Western architectures through these ancient houses. After lunch, walk to the Bach Dang dock where you will embark on the boat. From the boat you can enjoy that busy daily life of Hoi An people.

Continue to Thanh Ha pottery village where you can learn and enjoy the daily life of local people.Thanh Ha Pottery Village in the 16th and 17th century Thanh Ha was a thriving village. It was famous for earthenware that was sold in many provinces throughout central Vietnam. Observe all the steps of making a pottery product such as vase, pot, kettle, cooking pot. Then embark to the boat to visit Kim Bong carpentry village. Most of Hoi An old town’s architecture was made by their ancestors, dating back to the town’s heyday as a commercial port. Upon arrival in the village, you'll see the artisans working with their skillful hands on the crafts and visit ship-building yards. Kim Bong’s common products such as furniture, religious statues and finely crafted wooden doors can be found and bought on souvenirs shops. The style of Kim Bong Carpentry is said to be the excellent combination of Cham kingdom, China, Japanese... and of course the talented hands of Vietnamese craftmen. Transfer back to Hoi An by boat.

It’s time for your own at leisure in the morning at a nice beach in Hoian before continue your Vietnam Holiday by transfer to airport for an hour flight to Ho Chi Minh. Greeting at the airport and drive to the most bustle city of Vietnam which we named Pearl of Indochina.

Ho Chi Minh tour – Cu Chi tunnel – Ho Chi Minh (B/L)

After an early breakfast you’ll avoid the city heat to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American war. Afterwards, we will return to the city to visit some of the most important attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, beginning with the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the Southern Vietnam President until the end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office. Afterwards, we’ll visit the History Museum where there is a special exhibition of Phu Nam country which dates back to the 2nd century ‘Oc Eo’ civilization. You'll also visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the best examples of Taoist temples in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh (B/L)

Go Cong totally strange and real authentic Mekong tour. A small island located within 2 doors Cua Dai and Cua Tieu with 6 months of fresh water and 6 months of salty water will bring you an amazing photo about hospitality, friendly people. Drive away the noise of city life to reach Tam vu – the kingdom of dragon fruits platation. You can stop at any garden on way and enjoy a special kind of dragon fruit – the red one. Not only dragon fruits but also rice, corn, chili field on way down a ferry station will bring you to another picture of Mekong Delta.

Besides that, you also can stop at a small local market with colorful flowers, fruits, vegetables, fish and will give you a wonderful photo for countryside life on the road. Continue your journey, go to Ben Lo ferry and take a ferry to get island. After that, hop on a motorbike (or bicycle) to get a green island full of coconut and sour-sop. Let stop at a local house to see what they do with coconut, water hyacinth weaving, broms and coconut leaf roof made.

Let try a new taste with cool canal by a sampan. Lunch will be served in a coconut garden with great hospitality from the host. After lunch, we return to Ho Chi Minh city. Then you are free.
