Hanoi to NinhBinh tour/ 1 Day

Hoa Lu – Tam Coc

Discover Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Le dynasty. Vibrant green rice fields dotted with limestone outcrops will empress every visitor to the area. Enjoy a leisurely ninety minute sampan cruise through the caves of Tam Coc-a truly countryside in Vietnam.

Depart Hanoi at 8.00am. Our first stop is Hoa Lu, the place of former capital of Vietnam around 10th century. Here we see the ruins of the former capitol before the legendary Ly Thai To moved the Imperial city to Hanoi. In the late morning, we depart for Tam Coc town for a delicious Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, we take a traditional sampan through beautiful rice paddy scenery and the three famous grottoes: Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Cuoi. In the late afternoon, we drive back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at around 18.00

Hoa Lu – Trang An

At 08:00 we take a drive to the south of Hanoi to Ninh Binh province (110km), the famous so-called “Dry-Halong Bay”. The same limestone rocks as Halong Bay but lying on rice fields with winding stream instead of the sea. Upon arrival, sampan ride along the spectacular scenery to visit Tràng An caves with huge limestone columns rising right from paddy field valleys. You will have the chance to go through these caves with fresh air and bring unforgettable impression.

 

After lunch, continue several km more to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam with centuries-old Linh & Le Dynasty Temples, then walking around the villages to see the Vietnamese daily rural life. Return to Hanoi
