Full Itinerary

Arrival – Hanoi (None)

Upon arrival Noi Bai airport, you are met and transferred to our hotel (check in time: 14:00). Hanoi is Vietnam’s capital city and home to seven million people. Traditional and refined with French colonial architecture, tree - lined boulevards, scenic lakes and a bustling Old Quarter, Hanoi has a sophisticated charm. Observe locals practicing Tai Chi by the lake, with barbers and food vendors plying their sidewalk trade.

Hanoi – Full day city tour (B/L)

After breakfast at hotel, you are followed by a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this site is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origin dates back to the foundation of Hanoi a thousand years ago. Your tour of Hanoi continues with a trip to the remarkable Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university.

After lunch, you’ll enjoy the always impressive Ethnology Museum dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. You'll then continue to the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem. In front of this lake is the famous Water Puppet Theatre where you'll see a fantastic performance.

Hanoi – Halong overnight on cruise (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast you start with a transfer out to the internationally famous and stunningly beautiful Halong Bay, made world famous by James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies. Arriving just before lunch, you’ll embark on a traditional Vietnamese junk.

Take lunch on board and enjoy the afternoon and overnight cruise as it provides you with fantastic views of the fabulous scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands which amazingly rise from the clear and emerald water. The limestone karst formations are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, some of which you’ll visit.

Halong – Hanoi – fly to Hue (B/Brunch)

The tour continues with a morning spent cruising on to the Man’s Head, Tortoise islands and then Luon Cave by small bamboo boat. After an brunch check out and continue to travel though Bai Tu Long to Bai Chay for disembark, meet the driver and guide to transfer you back to Hanoi for flight to Hue – Vietnam’s last feudal capital.

This small and quiet city is widely known for its magnificent architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in many small villages and surrounding hills.

Hue tour (B/L)

In the morning you will be met at hotel to take a short drive to explore the massive Hue citadel built in 1832 followed by Western architecture combining with Eastern citadel containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City. This Royal Residence was destroyed during the 1968 Tet Offensive but with renovating by a great work of local artist will hold you back to know more about Nguyen dynasty.

Trip continue to Minh Mang Mausoleum located on Cam Khe mountain by the tip top of Perfume River, the construction built within 3 years 1840 – 1843 by at 10.000 workers & artists. Minh Mang emperor was the 2nd King under Nguyen Dynasty who was tightening country relationships & change name to Dai Viet for more power and influence in the region and international. Continue the trip you will board for Dragon boat to cruise downstream river to visit charming of Thien Mu pagoda built in 1601 lying on the top of Ha Khe hill by side of the river, hidden behind 7 layers of Phuoc Duyen tower.

Hue – Thuy Bieu village – biking (B/L)

Depart cycling from city center to Thuy Bieu village via southern bank of Perfume river. A bit busy at the beginning but worth it when you make it to the village. Then it’s time to swing around. Discover Tiger Fighting Arena, one of historical place, where elephants and tigers’fought to the death for the entertainment of the Emperor, the royal family and mandarin.

Leave the arena behind, we continue biking to Elephant Temple which is a royal temple where the King’s war elephants were buried and honored. Continue riding to Thuy Bieu village, visit the first local house, find out silk paintingcraft by local people. Keep cycling along verdant paths in Thuy Bieu village for relax. Making incense stick private house - A thing can not lack of buddha, ancestor anniversaries in Hue or general worship. Take a part in making : “banh nam” and “banh loc” – Hue speciality cakes - under the host instruction or learn how to make candy . You can enjoy them right after they have cooked.

Keep riding along the roads then leave Thuy Bieu village by dragon's boat. The tour will be ended at Toa Kham Boat Dock at the city centre, then back to your hotel by bicycle.

Hue – Danang – Hoian (B/L)

Upon leaving Hue you drive south to Hoian, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by traders from various cultures. The scenic road is hugging the coastline before crossing over the winding Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam’s most impressive panoramic scenes of Lang co Beach. You stop en route to visit Non Nuoc Beach, Marble Mountain, whose peaks represent the five elements of the universe and the Cham Museum in Danang City before reach Hoian old town.

Hoian tour (B/L)

A comprehensive walking tour through the delightful Hoi An Ancient Town, a beautifully preserved Unesco World Heritage Site which has remained virtually unchanged through the centuries. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Hoi An Town. Exploring Hoi An on foot is one of the best ways to absorb the beauty of this city. While walking around Hoi An, exploring the small yet beautiful town, which tourists find to be a place of quiet and peace. The unique atmosphere combines elements of Vietnam, China and Japan. The most remarkable views are from the ancient houses, reminding visitors of a long gone past and providing a momentary glimpse of a more subdued and simple time.

The tour includes visits to many of the town’s renowned Ancient Houses which boast remarkable architecture, Assembly Halls of Chinese influence, Art Craft Manufacturing Workshop and of course the must - see Japanese Covered Bridge. Mostly the houses here were designed with the Chinese, Japanese architecture. Because in accordance with the history, the Chinese, Japanese used to come here for settling down and doing business. Besides, you can recognize the Eastern and Western architectures through these ancient houses.

After lunch, walk to the Bach Dang dock where you will embark on the boat. From the boat you can enjoy that busy daily life of Hoi An people. Continue to Thanh Ha pottery village where you can learn and enjoy the daily life of local people.Thanh Ha Pottery Village in the 16th and 17th century Thanh Ha was a thriving village. It was famous for earthenware that was sold in many provinces throughout central Vietnam. Observe all the steps of making a pottery product such as vase, pot, kettle, cooking pot. Then embark to the boat to visit Kim Bong carpentry village. Most of Hoi An old town’s architecture was made by their ancestors, dating back to the town’s heyday as a commercial port. Upon arrival in the village, you'll see the artisans working with their skillful hands on the crafts and visit ship - building yards. Kim Bong’s common products such as furniture, religious statues and finely crafted wooden doors can be found and bought on souvenirs shops. The style of Kim Bong Carpentry is said to be the excellent combination of Cham kingdom, China, Japanese... and of course the talented hands of Vietnamese craftmen. Transfer back to Hoi An by boat.

Hoian countryside and cooking class (B/L)

This morning, escape the masses and head out for a bicycle tour through the countryside around Hoi an. Start today by biking to Tra Que, a vegetable and herb - growing village. The country road to Tra Que winds through rice paddies and rural landscapes. At Tra Que see the gardening of herbs and vegetables using the traditional methods of hundreds of years ago; no electrical machinery here. You'll pick some fresh vegetables and herbs to be used in your upcoming cooking lesson. You'll then to the local village market and with shopping list in hand you'll purchase a range of local ingredients. You'll then continue to a family house in Tra Que with a chance to enjoy some local foot massage and soak your tiring feet into nice warm herbal water as a local treatment before cooking class. Working together with the family chef, you'll learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking Vietnamese food from scratch. Using the freshest ingredients and traditional Vietnamese ultensils (still in use today). You'll have a chance to sit and enjoy your own creations.

In the afternoon, bid farewell to your host family before biking to fishing village and water coconut forest in Cam Thanh. This place acted as a refuge for people and local soldiers during the Vietnam war, but now it is famous for producing vast amounts of seafood products. Upon reaching the village, anglers will take you in bamboo basket boats to row into magrove forests, canals... and you'll have fun with traditional fishing techniques. Bike back to your hotel.

Hoian – Danang – Ho Chi Minh (B)

It’s time for your own at leisure in the morning at a nice beach in Hoian before continue your Vietnam Holiday by transfer to airport for an hour flight to Ho Chi Minh. Greeting at the airport and drive to the most bustle city of Vietnam which we named Pearl of Indochina.

Ho Chi Minh tour – Cu Chi tunnel – Ho Chi Minh (B/L)

After an early breakfast you’ll avoid the city heat to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American war. Afterwards, we will return to the city to visit some of the most important attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, beginning with the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the Southern Vietnam President until the end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office.

Afterwards, we’ll visit the History Museum where there is a special exhibition of Phu Nam country which dates back to the 2nd century ‘Oc Eo’ civilization. You'll also visit the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the best examples of Taoist temples in Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B/L)

Today you'll head out of the city for the Mekong Delta with a visit to Cai Be for a local traditional boat trip to observe the daily lives and activities of the local people who live along the river. Visit the various fascinating local cottage industries including rice paper makers and bonsai nurseries before docking at Vinh Long and continuing to Can Tho, the largest town in the Mekong Delta.

Can Tho - Cai Rang floating market - Ho Chi Minh (B)

The last day of your tour of Vietnam takes you to Can Tho, which is famous for its Cai Rang floating market where hundreds of local boats drift on the Mekong River and sell local agriculture products. An early wake up is required to start your trip before returning to hotel for breakfast. You’ll head back to Ho Chi Minh City before noon, on arrival city you're free to relax in the afternoon back in HCMC, may to do some final shopping, or just to enjoy yourself Vietnamese style – sitting in a café watching the world go by.
